Going for the headshot

As a continuation from my last post, I had a really great, intimate few hours with whooper swans and Lake Kussharo in Northern Hokkaido Japan. These guys were really comfortable with me and I had way too much glass with my Nikon D5 and Nikkor 800mm to get the photographs I want. I didn’t want to disturb them to go back to the car to get my 500 PF so I just took advantage of the situation and used my long lens for interesting head shots most people wouldn’t try to use a long lens for.
