Along with it being my Mother’s birthday, the beginning of Autumn brings up the conversation of fall color. Well, Fall is here. Every year, I make a trek somewhere that can give me the opportunities to capture fall colors. This year is will be a combination of Alaska at the beginning of October and hopefully if weather permits and the Airstream is ready, the Smokie Mountains.
One of my favorite places if my mood is for yellows is around Pike’s Peak in Colorado. I will spend a few days driving around Cripple Creek looking at the old mining towns, mountain lookouts, and valleys filled with aspens. This photo was taken with the Nikon D5 and 14-24mm 2.8.
