Wow, January 2018 is turning into one of my most productive photography challenges to date. I thought being able to do the Antelope slot canyons was going to be hard to beat this year and already I have been blown by that. Driving along in Yellowstone we come across a bison kill near the road. There were some ravens about picking what was left. But up on the hill looked like stumps and rocks sticking out of the snow. At closer look, we realized we had caught 9 gray wolves sleeping off an afternoon meal. After hanging out for a while, the wolves started to get up, pace around and play with each other. Talk about the opportunity of the week that will be hard to top this year. And just in time to use my new 800mm lens 🙂
Check another one off the bucket list
