Immediately as we make landfall on the Uganik River in Kodiak, Alaska, a brown bear was grazing on the tidal flats grass. He must have eaten a lot because he then sits down and changes a few positions to find a comfortable place to take a nap. He raises his head every few minutes to look around but that head just thumps back down on the ground to go back to sleep.
