I realized last month I was supposed to be in Nebraska to photographing Great Prairie Chickens. Thanks to the lockdowns, we did not make it this year. These are undoubtably one of my favorite birds to photograph. They are challenging because they are constantly moving around. They make an amazing call and drum their feet trying to attract the attention of a female. They require big glass which requires skill. I look forward to having an opportunity with these guys next year. Taken with the Nikon D5 with Nikkor 800mm 5.6.
We missed you
