It was our first full day in Dubois, WY looking for Rocky Mountain Bighorn Sheep. We broke the jinx early on in the morning with our first drive down through the gorge of the main highway and there they were laying on the rock outcroppings. The sun had just been up for about 45 minutes so the light was angled to highlight the red rock and snow on the side of the hill. Soon after, a lone ram appeared over the ledge to surveil the surroundings and ewes on the rock face. Taken with the Nikon D5 and Nikkor 180-400.
