On of my favorite reasons to coming to New Mexico is not just Bosque. I also like to to do night astro photography. However, when there is a full moon, that can make photographing heavenly bodies difficult. When you do have that full moon, you need to take advantage of it. We were photographing sandhill cranes flying overhead when I look behind me and that moon was coming up in that famous New Mexico pink sky. Taken with the Nikon D6 and 800mm with 1.25TC.
