In the late fall, most of the fall color is gone. Bare trees do not usually make for a great landscape subject. The one thing you usually get is the beginning of winter storms and dramatic clouds. A great way to capture the drama of those clouds and communicate mood is by using black and white.
In the early afternoon on Thursday, we made our way to Lake Jackson. Across the lake were the mountains of the Grand Tetons with some pretty awesome clouds overhead. The sun was just able to break through those clouds and give us some great god beams across the mountains and on the lake. Captured with the Nikon Z 7 and Nikkor 24-70 F/2.8.
