We had a great start to our week photographing Rocky Mountain Big Horned Sheep on the red rocks along Rt 26. Our big find of a group of over 30 sheep were long Trail Lake Road in the Whiskey Basin. We came around the bend and two ewes were standing on a large rock outcropping right in front of us. We took advantage to the back lighting, using the rim light to highlight the ewes on top of the rock with the mountain far in the background. Taken with the Nikon D5 and Nikkor 180-400mm.
