I sometimes get jealous that the south east coast of Florida doesn’t present the landscape opportunities that I seem to find on the west coast. Or at least it isn’t landscape photography that speaks to me. During the hurricane this past weekend that didn’t happen, I hooked my airstream and headed west to miss the storm and visit some friends. On the drive back, there is a kind-of-known scenic road when coming back in to Martin County. I have driven this road many times but it has always been at night. I was fortunate this time, it was afternoon light and said I have to stop and take this picture. After dodging cars for 30 minutes screaming past at 80 miles an hour, I was able to capture this shot. I think I found a little hidden gem I am going back to improve on now that my friend Carol has helped me figure out the particulars of focus stacking. Taken with the Nikon Z 7 and Nikkor 180-400mm.
