Between rain showers, I ventured out to one of my favorite birding spots in South Florida. For the last few months, at the Wakodahatchee Wetlands, we have been dealing with hordes of wood storks. While the young ones can be cute, the variety of birds in Florida is what makes a location like this great. Finally we are seeing a break as the wood storks make their way on their own and giving way to the diverse nesting birds that come to South Florida. Here you can see some new reddish egrets that have appeared since my last visit. Taken with the Nikon D5 and Nikkor 800mm.
