When most people think of landscape photography, they think of taking a picture of a nice setting with a lake, a city scape, trees, etc. One of the great things about the Palouse is frankly besides the endless scenes of rolling hills, is trying to find the interesting patterns in the hill shapes and lines in the planted crops. The fun challenges is then to try to get those lines to draw the eye and to make those patterns visually pop. Here is where a polarizer comes in handy to get those contrasting colors to pop. Added with the extreme detail of the Nikon D850, a tripod is must to get a still, sharp image combined with the Nikkor 80-400.
