Greater Sandhill Crane

Well, it has become a tradition. One of my favorite locations to photograph wildlife is at Bosque del Apache National Wildlife Refuge near San Antonio, New Mexico. Winter home to a regular migration of Greater Sandhill Cranes and Snow Geese, the park service regularly cuts corn to feed the birds throughout the winter and floods the fields for the birds to roost overnight. Taken with the ever reliable Nikon D5 and Nikkor 800mm.
