Glamor Shots

 

Living in Florida, I have the opportunity to photograph some great birds. Although, I am not a beach person, one of my favorite birds is the American Oystercatcher. I find these birds have great personality and exbitit gesture I can photograph all day long. They also seem to be curious, walking up quite close. Once, while I was photographing one, he disappeared and couldn’t figure out where he went. Next thing, I see him peer from the side of my lens hood. It turns out he walked right up to to my 800mm and was staring at his reflection right in the lens not more than 2 feet from me. Pretty daring for a cute little bird.
